DAZL West Leeds Sharing!   Connecting with communities is at the heart of everything we as an organisation do, so performing and engaging with communities through celebrating the young peoples achievements is an essential part of the DAZL Model.   Last night Dance Action Zone Leeds hosted its first informal dance sharing in West Leeds at St John Church Hall, Wortley. 65 young people from across West Leeds came and performed to an audience of 150+ parents and families. The young people/ families were from Bramley, Swinnow, Farnley and Wortley, they have been taking part in DAZL activities since April this year. The programs in West Leeds have been supported by the local ward councilors and Inner West/ Outer West Community Committees.   This first event was an opportunity to bring the communities and young people together, they will be performing at Local galas throughout that summer as well as working towards a city centre Christmas Show.   Dance Action Zone Leeds (DAZL) would like to thank all parents/ young people/  supporters/ volunteers and also The wonderful DAZL Staff and Young Dance Leader who do such a fantastic job. This is a great start to DAZL working with the communities across West Leeds and the local ward councilors. Thank you.
