DAZL Ignite Active Lifestyle & Healthy Eating Program
The DAZL Ignite program is part of an innovative project working in partnership with NHS children’s weight management programme – Watch It, funded by Leeds Public Health. The project uses the appeal of dance to attract young people aged 5-12 yrs. Many of these young people are not achieving a healthy weight or suffering from health issues. This gives them opportunities to take part in a 4-6 week programme that focuses on positive healthy activities such as dance and healthy eating, raising confidence and self-esteem. (Overweight for this projects is defined as above the 85th percentile) Young people can then progress onto other dance/physical activity and healthy lifestyle programs and session.
On many programs including half terms/ summer holidays we will also be delivering tailored programs with our health and wellbeing partners from Health For All (Active Club Experience and the Change 4 Life Service). If you feel your child would benefit from this program and our activities please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01132 706903 ext 182. We are happy to help support you through this. The DAZL, ACE and Watch-It team are working closely to ensure the best service and advice available.
